This is such good and interesting information! I do not believe I knew exactly what Yuletide was before this article as we in America typically end our Winter festivities with New Year's Day. This is wmbarrassing to admit, but I also did not know that Boxing Day had to do with gifts and gratuities - I thought it had something to do with the sport of Boxing! There's much we Americans don't know about British traditions! Thank you for educating us!

Glad you liked it. Traditions seem so odd to people from a different culture. When I lived in Boston, USA I was astonished at the St Patrick's day celebrations - something we don't celebrate in England & Scotland 🤣

I love the history of folk songs, I'm looking forward to the rest of this.

Have you ever heard the version by Frank Kelly? It's hilarious, but better listened to than watched on the YouTube version, the animation takes away rather than adds to the performance.
